Description

Discover the Brazilian Mounjaro Drink, a vibrant and healthy beverage made with butterfly pea flowers, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar. Beautifully colorful and full of health benefits, it is as delightful to look at as it is to drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500 ml (2 cups) water
  • 2 Tbsp dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 1 tsp honey
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, sliced (optional)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar (with mother)

Instructions

  1. Boil the water. Add 500 mL of water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. If using ginger, add it now to infuse.
  2. Steep the flowers. Remove from heat, add butterfly pea flowers, and steep for ~10 minutes until the mixture turns a deep blue.
  3. Strain. Strain out the flowers for a clear drink (or leave them in for a rustic look).
  4. Add flavorings. Stir in honey, lemon juice, and apple cider vinegar. Watch it shift from vivid blue to purple.
  5. Serve hot or iced. Enjoy warm immediately, or cool slightly and pour over ice.

Notes

  • Adjust sweetness: about 1 tsp honey per cup for sweeter, 1/2 tsp per cup for lighter sweetness.
