Description

This viral-worthy salted tahini latte blends bold espresso, creamy tahini, sweet honey, and a touch of sea salt. It’s a luxurious, nutty, and slightly sweet coffeehouse-style drink you can enjoy at home, hot or iced.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots of espresso (about 2 oz / 60ml)
  • 2 tbsp tahini (30g), smooth and well-stirred
  • 1 tbsp honey (21g), preferably raw
  • 1 pinch sea salt (about 1/8 tsp)
  • 1 cup milk of choice (240ml), whole or oat milk recommended
  • Optional: ice cubes, honeycomb, toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. Brew the espresso: Use your espresso machine or coffee maker to brew 2 fresh shots. Let it cool for 2–3 minutes if making an iced latte. (Strong coffee works too—use about 1/2 cup.)
  2. Blend the milk mixture: In a personal blender or with an immersion blender, combine tahini, honey, sea salt, and milk. Blend for 30–45 seconds until smooth, creamy, and frothy. For a hot version, steaming is also effective.
  3. Combine and garnish: Pour the frothy tahini milk into a mug. For iced, add ice cubes first. Slowly pour in espresso over the back of a spoon for layering, or mix for full flavor. Top with sesame seeds, honeycomb, or both.

Notes

  • For an extra-rich latte, use whole milk or barista-style oat milk.
  • Adjust the sweetness to taste by adding more or less honey.
