Description
This easy Moscow Mule mocktail combines tangy lime, spicy ginger beer, and refreshing mint for a drink that’s perfect year-round. Ready in just 5 minutes with simple ingredients!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lime (to yield 1-2 tablespoons fresh juice)
- 1 tablespoon simple syrup
- 1/4 cup club soda
- 3–4 mint leaves, torn (optional, but adds wonderful freshness!)
- 3/4 cup non-alcoholic ginger beer (I find Reed’s or Fever-Tree work beautifully here)
- Crushed ice
- Additional lime wedges and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare your lime juice. Squeeze the juice from your lime (about 1-2 tablespoons). Fresh is absolutely best here – it makes such a difference in the final flavor!
- Create your flavor base. In the bottom of a copper mug or serving glass, pour the fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and club soda. This creates the perfect foundation of tangy-sweet flavor.
- Add the mint. If using mint (and I highly recommend it!), tear 3-4 leaves and add them to the mixture. Tearing releases more of those aromatic oils than just dropping them in whole.
- Add ice. Fill your mug about halfway with crushed ice. The crushed ice chills the drink quickly and melts just enough to balance the flavors perfectly.
- Pour in the ginger beer. Slowly pour about 3/4 cup of non-alcoholic ginger beer over the ice. The slow pour helps maintain the carbonation for that perfect fizzy kick!
- Garnish and serve. Add a lime wedge and a sprig of fresh mint for garnish. Not only does it look beautiful, but the aroma of the mint enhances the drinking experience.
Notes
- Use crushed ice for a frostier, more traditional mule experience.
- Muddle gently—bruising the mint releases more aroma without bitterness.
